Berkshire Program
The Berkshire
Program is an outreach program for people with developmental disabilities. We
are sponsored by both the
Therapeutic
Recreation Services
&
Berkshire Recreation council.
Our
program is open to all disabled adults after graduation from high school.
It is a
social group as well as
a
performing group and we have refreshments every week at the program and birthday
celebrations for members when they occur.
Members of the
group, known as
The
Berkshire Leisure Players, meet on most Thursdays during the school year
(starting in October and ending in May) from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. They perform
musical numbers from shows, sometimes in show form like Cinderella, The Wiz, &
The Sound of Music but also do musical reviews like Movie Music Movements,
Broadway revue & the God Bless America review.
